Grant's Farm - St. Louis, MO

>> Oh, if you haven't already figured it out...you can click on the pictures and see them all full-sized!! So yea....do that :)

So Grant's Farm was founded by Ulysses S Grant and is the ancestral home of the Busch Family....as in Anheuser-Busch...as in Budweiser. It's where all the Clydesdale horses live and they even give out free Bud in their little village haha Anyways, we obviously came for the animal experience because other than advertising for their brewery, the land has been turned into an open space reserve for hundreds of animals domestic, foreign and endangered.

Yet another beautiful drive out to the 281 acre piece of land. Parking is $12 but admission is free and everything in the park (food for people and animals) is relatively cheap.

Homegirl loves her chapstick and on a hot day like today, it was necessary.

You take a bridge over this pretty creek and then hop on a tram which takes you through some open land where tons of different animals graze and then into the park.

The house Ulysses S Grant lived in (this one is for you, Mom!)

ELK! no fences here, they were seriously this close.

Red-tailed deer

Tons of different cows.....like 6 kinds...I forget what kind and I know nothing about cattle so if you know what any of these are give a shout in the comments section.

Bison!!

Goat petting/feeding area. So smelly but pretty cute....kinda want one.

They even had guinea pigs in an open hutch area. Super cool. They are livin the dream :)

Wallaby

Red Kangaroo

this is my cousin, Grant...get it??!! haha

I was super excited to pet a llama....the llama was not as excited....

Camel was sweet

I forgot to find out what this was but he looked like a BAMF

And this dude looked suuuuper relaxed.

Bateleur Eagle - native to sub-Saharan Africa

That pony almost bit me but I forgave him long enough to take a pic

We were trying to have fun in the heat but that chick behind us looks how we felt hahah

Anyways, this place is a big deal here in Missouri and it was pretty fun indeed.
Definitely worth the trip if you are ever out in the area and want something fun & cheap to do.
